“For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)... employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence), and in [exercising]... [develop] Christian love.”
(2 Pet. 1:3,5,6,7b AMPC) Love: the more excellent way - (1 Cor. 12:31)
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a (special) people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies (the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections) of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Pet. 2:9 AMP.)
About 22 years ago, in 1994, we started off as "MDK" – "Musiek, Drama en Kunsskool", where weekly classes were presented.
After approximately a year-and-a-half, Dance was added, and the full-time program was launched.
Our name then changed to "MD2K" – "Musiek, Drama, Dans en Kunsskool".
In the next phase (1 year later), full-time International students started to arrive, and we became
"MD2A" – "Music, Dance, Drama and Art School".
During that time, we started with weekend courses, called "Creare Training Seminars" (Creare means to create, to bring forth).
"Holiday schools" were introduced for people from other parts of the country – they would come for 1/2 weeks of intensive training in subjects that would normally have been presented over a 3-month period.
This grew into 7 Training Conferences, presented during 7 weeks of annual school holidays.
We then started the August National Tours, which ran every year.
During this tour, 1 week of intensive training was presented to different churches and schools in local communities in specific towns. (1 town per week)
That ministry has grown into a 9-week tour in the third term of the year with 7-10 teams that would minister intensively into nearly 100 towns/cities/informal settlements all over the country and Namibia annually.
Multimedia subjects were added, so the school became the "Creare School" in Music, Dance, Drama, Art, and Multimedia.
Soon after that, we started to develop full-time students for full-time ministry – in more facets than simply the arts and worship teams.
Subjects in Bible Studies, Prophetic Ministry, Church Planting and Missions, Worship Ministry, as well as practical skills were added. We became "Creare Training Centre" in Music, Dance, Drama, Art, Multimedia, Word, Prophetic, Skills, Worship, Church Planting, and Missions.
Each facet developed into a focused Academy, where students could choose a unique combination of subjects from more than one.
Academy as they followed a developmental program. (Full-time or part-time)
Currently, Creare runs a program where full-time students come for 1-5 years. A separate curriculum is compiled for each candidate according to his/her unique calling, vision and purpose for coming to Creare.
In addition to this, weekly classes are presented to part-time students, as well as Training Conferences in the holidays. Progressively through the year, 9-week tours in the 3rd term as well as Full-Time Tour Teams brought training to people nationally and internationally. 5000 candidates were reached annually with different subjects.
The need for more weekly training in different towns expanded to the point where there were 7 such Full-time Teams touring for more than 4 years, reaching 1300 students weekly in 40+ towns. (As part of the 5000 students)
Since the full-time programme at Creare started, this intensive, life-changing, discipleship process has brought a different focus in the programme.
In the light of this progressive road, to serve the body of Christ with greater impact, God led us into a new definition of the ministry for the stature (authority) needed in every unique calling.
If you are already involved, or if you want to be involved in different ministries, (worship, children, youth, prayer, dance, technical, marketplace, financial, pioneer, etc.) in your church, community, and nation, you need to continually develop in authority in your field of ministry, work and unique calling, and challenge yourself for excellence in your life and ministry in and through the church!
This authority includes character, gifts, skill, Word foundation, passion and accurate alignment in relationships where God has called you in a specific church for successful impact in a specific community. When you consider your unique calling in the body of Christ, commit to serve effectively where God has placed you. “... a planting of the Lord, for the display of His splendor.” (Isa. 61:3b)
Grow in a lifestyle where God’s initiative is evident and God’s excellence is seen through who you are and what you do. Identify through the Holy Spirit, who is taking the initiative in your work, ministry and personal life. Evaluate your lifestyle and be accountable to leadership in your local church about your development.
You need Godly authority in your life to stand in Christ with victory, set free to live the dream Father God has for you. Godly authority with excellence can only be established through the Word of God in every ministry and it is very important in order to fulfil your calling and achieve the goals that God has for you.
Our challenge in many ministries and church networks is to establish a strategic, practical development plan for members, volunteers, leaders and serving teams to grow effectively in what they do for Christ and with Christ.
There are many great seminars, short-term courses and conferences having impact in ministries, and there are amazing theological seminaries and Bible-schools, for fulltime training, but the “gap”, lack, need and prophetic priority now, is the long-term strategic development plan for the
family of God to become the mature, relevant, effective church to:
Proclaim the excellencies (the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections) of God. (1 Pet. 2:9)
Declare how excellent His Name is in all the earth. (Ps. 8:1)
Approve (discern, show forth) the things that are excellent. (Phil. 1:10b)
Show the more excellent way (love). (1 Cor. 12:31)
Develop excellent speech. (Prov. 17:7)
Exercise your faith to develop excellence. (2 Pet. 1:6)
Allow the process for God to make you an eternal excellence. (Is. 60:15)
Meditate on… what is excellent. (Phil. 4:8)
Sing to the Lord for He has done excellent things. (Is. 12:5)
Believe that you as saints are the “excellent ones”. (Ps. 16:3)
That is why we want to introduce to you strategic, “set out”, specific Authority Fields for your development in who you are in Christ and what you do with Christ and for Christ. Authority fields are groupings of 7 specific subjects designed to focus on development in a specific area of ministry or personal growth.
We want to help and assist you with this suggested road map of development, to grow in doing everything with excellence as if unto the Lord.
Prayerfully look at the “set out” combination of strategic training fields and commit to it personally or even set it as a development path for you, your family, church and ministry partners/ friends. You can find the details at www.ourfathersexcellence.com or contact OurFathersExcellence@gmail.com or contact 0828873001.
In this specific book/manual you will find 4 of more than 48 units for self-study (with 4 exam papers). These 4 units/themes from God’s Word form part of the training development program for excellence in your walk with God.
My prayer for you and me in Psalm 19:14 (AMPC): “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, o Lord, my (firm, immovable) rock and my Redeemer.”
